I've been riding this cycle for the past year. A gear position indicator added to the rear shift handle would make this a perfect 5 star cycle for all uses.

      Comments:

I primarily used it as a training bike and found it quite adept in all conditions. I was especially impressed with the SRAM Apex considering it being entry level and how smooth the shifts were. The frame is actually a Roubaix FACT 8R which for the price point is reasonable. Would I buy it again? Yes, most definitely!

      Comments:

New to [...], I had to leave my competition specified Roubaix Road and S-works mountain bikes in Oz for future shipping to the USA. The Sirrus was bought as a compromise between the two extremes and I have been delighted. It delivers the best of both worlds for an urban ride. The agility, speed and comfort of a Roubaix, and a light crash and tackle capability for poor roads, opening car doors and the odd bunny hop over curbs, traffic islands and [...] taxi's. I dumped the awful targa saddle to an S-works toupe, swapped out the nasty std pedals for some Crank Bros Mallet 2's, and upgraded the entry level headstem for an S-works carbon to get the correct geometry. Three elements you'd have to bet Specialized knows are rubbish and will generate a quick $450 at the shop. But now sorted, it is a fabulous bike in it's own right and as a hi level middle ground between road and mountain race it holds it's own as the best city bike.

        Comments:

This is the one bike to have if you can't afford both a road and mountain bike. I"m 53 years old, 175lbs and have been riding road bikes/running for many years. I wanted more comfort wihout giving up light weight and some speed. This bike is perfect for that combination. The Apex drive train is flawless and the carbon frame provides a truly smooth ride. It costs a bit more than most fitness/hybrid bikes but for me it was worth the investment!

          Comments:

I am not a fishing lure appearing bike weenie. I like to ride and I do more as I get older because it is easier on the joints (but harder on the prostate). I have been riding hybrid bicycles because of the forgiving nature of the frame geometry. Previously, I have been riding a 2009 Marin Nicasio (heavy but strong and very cool looking). My wife gave me the Specialized Cirrus LTD for Christmas 2011. The Cirrus LTD is light, light, light. It rides like a dream and is a fast hybrid bicycle. I love the way a carbon frame feels when riding. I love being able to hold my own on the bike trail with most of the road bike riders. I do not love the way the frame creaks under a full load when riding up a hill (it has been explained to me that this is a tendency of carbon bicycles). Overall, a high quality ride.

            Comments:

This is a great bike for big guys, i.e 6'3" and weighing 250+ lbs. The breakes are excellent especially for Colorado's steep descents. The carbon frame makes for a plush ride and the SRAM Apex drive train is flawless. Specialized did a great job designing this bike. It's fast like a road bike but forgiving on your lower back. Highly recommended.
