2012 Cannondale SuperSix 6

You'll practically fly up the mountain with Cannondale's SuperSix 6! Its lightweight unidirectional carbon frame is expertly tuned to give you a snappy, responsive ride that's still comfortable thanks to carbon's inherent vibration-damping properties. Up front, a stiff full-carbon fork with a tapered steerer gives you pinpoint handling, perfect for piloting the lightweight Shimano wheels with Schwalbe tires around any corner. And, SRAM's wide-range Apex gruppo handles your shifting and braking in style, while a Cannondale Stage Ergo saddle provides super comfort and support.

    Comments:

Bought mine in July 2012 at my LBS. Climbing long mountain roads is totally do-able with the 34/50. Downhill it is a flyer, however, the frame shakes at highest speeds (probably due to carbon fiber frame). I had to hit the brakes hard at high speed and rear wheel slid out (on straight stretch) but balance returned quickly, so I was impressed. The SRAM front shifter has been a constant annoyance...shifting up to the big chain wheel sometimes won't happen. Have to play with it constantly, which means taking my eyes off the road. Had it into shop 4 times to get shifter cables and tension set properly, yet still an issue. Based on the SRAM shifters, I would recommend moving up to the next Super Six with Integra gears

      Comments:

This Cannondale is Great for an Entry Level Carbon Fiber Bike. The components on this bike are Sram Apex Shifters, Derailluers,Brakes and the Crank is an FSA Omega. And for this entry level bike, the ride is very comfy and also going fast is no problem if you needed to sprint and going up hills feels smooth and some what easy. This was/is a GREAT Buy for the sale price!

The [...] staff (Tony) recommended this bike over a Specialized Allez. Great recommendation! I've put over 500 miles on the bike since I purchased it in April, and its been great.
