2012 Cannondale Slice 5

Feel the difference a truly aerodynamic bike makes. Cannondale's Slice 5 boasts a featherweight carbon frame and fork that have been expertly sculpted to cheat the wind to the nth degree. The rear wheel tucks neatly behind the seat tube and the razor-thin down tube slices through the air for maximum speed. You also get the energy-saving benefits of Cannondale's SAVE technology that damps vibration to keep you fresh so you can pedal strong all race long. To keep your speed up, the Slice is equipped with aero Shimano wheels powered by a crisp-shifting FSA/Shimano 105 20-speed drivetrain. For even more speed, you also get FSA aero bars, corner-carving Schwalbe tires and a comfortable Cannondale Tri seat.

      Comments:

Triathlon all over [...] and I carry the bike on my car roof all the time at 70 to 80 mph and the bike still solid. I strongly recommend this bike. The shimano 105 are very good. Up grade the seat and put new carbon bars. Love the bike.

      Comments:

I bought the Slice as both a trainer and racer for triathlon. I live in a very hilly area so I do a lot of climbing with this bike. The stock set up actually allows you to climb pretty well compared to most tt bikes. I've ridden $6k road bikes and didn't notice an overwhelming difference when climbing which is usually the biggest con in training with a tt bike. Very light and very comfortable. I would replace the tires though, they are junk. You'll get a lot of looks with this bike. Do it!
